Acharit Davar Trail Lookout

Hebrew name: Shvil Acharit Davar

Location: Tzora Forest, Judean Plain

Description: The Acharit Davar Trail is located at the western edge of the Sculpture Trail in the Tzora Forest. Those traveling by car will reach the beginning of the Acharit Davar Trail in 350 meters. The name of the trail is taken from Biblical verses that describe the end of days of Samson the Brave, who toppled the Dagon Temple on himself and the Philistines. At the edge of the ridge, facing an open landscape, the Nahal Soreq Valley is revealed in all its glory. Below lies the Deir Rafat Monastery and beyond it the expanses of the lowlands and the Coastal Plain can be seen.

Directions: Take the access road from Beit Shemesh to Kibbutz Tzora and the Deir Rafat Monastery (Route 3835). About 700 meters after the kibbutz, the Sculpture Trail ascends to the right and meets this trail. The trail is marked in KKL-JNF green markings.
