KKL-JNF Heritage Centers are unique social and educational projects that raise the youth in Israel's peripheral towns to fulfill their potential for leadership in love and knowledge of the country, empowerment and sustainability using 21st century tools. The first KKL-JNF Heritage Center for Excellence opened inMarch 13, 2018 in upper Nazareth. The structure, containing three floors, was renovated and made into an attractive modern building. It is completely accessible, including an empty compound at the ground floor, classrooms on the upper floor, computer labs, auditorium for screenings and lectures, and staff offices. A special area is devoted to social and leisure activities, with sitting spots and video games. The center is designed in an innovative youthful style, with bright colors, wall paintings and a variety of technological elements aimed at preparing young people for the 21st century. The structure's outer wall features a 9-meter painting by artist Hillel Lazarov.

Activities at the center include a variety of classes that strengthen the knowledge and the love of the country, offer preparation for a significant service, entrepreneurship and much more. The center promote and the informal education in the city, and arranges social activities and lectures, promotes community involvement and strengthens Zionist values.
