Ways to Jerusalem is a special activity kit consisting of 8 activities, inviting the participants to discover the magic of Jerusalem, the Capital City. The kit consists of a variety of values-based educational activities enabling an introduction to the city’s multi-faceted nature, providing historical fundamentals, main sites like the Western Wall, symbols of the city and a look into the future.

The activity kits cover various topics, stimulating fascinating discussions of Jerusalem’s key position past, present and future, what we remember, what we have forgotten, the patchwork of cultures and conflicts it holds.

All Roads Lead to Jerusalem... Jerusalem is a multifaceted city, continually developing and serving as a magnet for Jews and members of various other faiths from all over the world. This kit is an educational-learning tool enabling, through enjoyable play and games, familiarization with the city, deepening the bond with it, developing Jewish identity and delivering an emotional, meaningful experience.
 

Goal of the Kit:

  1. To expose the participants to Jerusalem’s multicultural and historical richness.
  2. To enable each participant to find their own individual connection to the city through different approaches.
  3. To stimulate open, dignified debate over issues of identity, belonging, place and memory.
  4. To develop skills such as investigation, visual analysis, creativity and personal expression.

Activity Summary:
 A discussion of the understanding of our bond with Jerusalem through focusing on its history, through play, in writing and through creativity.

Target Audience:
Youths and young adults.

Activity Summary:
 Bonding with Jerusalem through study of ancient maps of the city, experiencing creation of a personal map.

The Jerusalem Golden Cab

Activity Summary:
 A group trivia game based on "Cash Cab", consisting of questions, amusing scenarios and elements.

Activity Summary:
 Identifying and learning about sites in Jerusalem through a fun game with pictures, informational cards and a bottle - a form of "Spin the Bottle"

Activity Summary:
 An activity focusing on various images of Jerusalem, which correspond with some less-known facts about the city. The goal is to expose the participants to the various layers Jerusalem is made of and to arouse their curiosity.
