In significant news for residents of Benjamin and the surrounding area, the Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) Board of Directors has approved an additional NIS 5 million for the establishment of the Nanshi Medical Center in Benjamin, bringing KKL-JNF’s total investment in the project to NIS 15 million. The center, the first of its kind in Judea and Samaria, is expected to open its doors in 2027.
The medical center is intended to address the considerable need for accessible medical services in the region. More than 80,000 residents live in the Benjamin Regional Council, alongside thousands of residents from neighboring local authorities. Today, many residents must travel long distances to receive medical care. Once open, the center is expected to provide treatment closer to home, including initial care for injuries of varying severity, first aid services, and specialist clinics.
The center is being developed by the Benjamin Regional Council and the Benjamin Development and Settlement Fund. Following completion of the building’s structural framework, the project is progressing toward completion and operation. KKL-JNF’s investment, alongside the resources raised and the partners who have joined the initiative, represents a significant contribution to advancing the project and expanding medical services for residents of the region.
The Benjamin Regional Council emphasizes that the establishment of the medical center is part of a broader regional development initiative, aimed at meeting the needs of a growing population and strengthening essential infrastructure and services. Its opening is expected to improve access to medical care, reduce the need for lengthy journeys to receive treatment, and strengthen the region’s medical response during emergencies.

Benjamin Regional Council Head and Yesha Council Chairman Israel Ganz welcomed the decision: “We are working to change the medical reality in Benjamin. For years, residents have had to travel long distances to receive medical services, and now we are moving toward the opening of the first medical center of its kind in Judea and Samaria. This is significant news for the residents of Benjamin and the surrounding area. I would like to thank KKL-JNF, KKL-JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrinsky, and Vice Chairman Yehoshua Sherman for their important partnership and commitment to advancing the project. This investment brings us one step closer to completing the center and opening it in 2027.”
KKL-JNF Chairman Eyal Ostrinsky said: “The development of Israel and the strengthening of the resilience of the communities that live here are an integral part of KKL-JNF's Zionist mission. KKL-JNF’s total investment of NIS 15 million in the establishment of the medical center in Benjamin is an investment in essential infrastructure that will improve access to medical services and contribute to the quality of life of residents in the region. Access to medical care is a basic need, and it is especially important in areas where medical services are far away. KKL-JNF will continue to act with a sense of national responsibility and mutual solidarity to advance significant projects that strengthen communities, reduce disparities, and contribute to the resilience of Israeli society.”
