"My experience volunteering with the KKL-JNF was one of the most exciting, satisfying and meaningful experiences I have ever had. I felt an immediate connection to the participants, and I was very impressed by the professional organization and the humane and warm attitude of all those involved in the work – counselors, volunteers and staff. The feeling was of family, of belonging and of work that includes and respects every person. I greatly appreciate the activity and the spirit behind it.
"The activity itself was varied, tailored and valuable. I participated in artistic activities and accompanied groups, and I felt that my giving – even if small – was received with love and contributed significantly to others. I felt that I was not only giving, but also receiving: warmth, deep human connection, a sense of value and belonging. For me, the very possibility of being there, reaching out, listening and supporting – was a great and significant privilege.
"It was an empowering and inspiring experience, which left me with a deep sense of satisfaction and a desire to continue contributing and being part of similar activities in the future."
Since her enlistment in the month of February, Sharona has intensified her volunteering in many diverse missions and has even marketed and guided her activities.
