See What Volunteering Can Do...

KKL-JNF volunteers visited Soroka Hospital. There they passed through the wards and held a Tu BiShvat Seder for all the hospitalized patients, distributing dried fruits and potted plants.
One of the volunteers relates:

"When we arrived at Soroka Hospital, the sights there were not easy, with soldiers in serious condition and those who are recovering, but the feeling of giving and helping the soldiers was empowering and very meaningful for me.

"In one of the hospital rooms we visited, I met a wounded soldier sitting alone in his room while everyone was surrounded by their families. The soldier said that he hadn't even informed his parents that he was wounded and hadn't changed his clothes all the days he was in the hospital.

"Thanks to the visit of the KKL-JNF volunteers, the soldier received assistance from the hospital."
