Hadad was at her home in Ofakim with her son Itamar on Shabbat when Hamas terrorists entered the city. She told her son, a fighter in the IDF, to go out with his weapon to save people and went out herself to help the wounded - until she found her son wounded after he rescued a family. She took care of him, joined the MDA teams, and returned to save 13 more wounded.
