Vietnamese Ambassador and KKL-JNF Mark Tu BiShvat with Tree Planting Ceremony

In a heartfelt tribute to his tenure in Israel, Lý Đức Trung, Ambassador of Vietnam, joined Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) in planting 18 trees in Ben Shemen Forest. The event, attended by distinguished guests from the Vietnamese Embassy, the Ambassadors Club, and various organizations, symbolized renewal, resilience, and the deep bond between Israel and Vietnam.

“It is an honor to plant 18 trees together with the Vietnam Ambassador to Israel, His Excellency Lý Đức Trung, and I sincerely thank him for the cooperation with KKL-JNF throughout his tenure in Israel,” said Yuval Yenni, CFO & Acting Head of Resource Development & External Affairs at KKL-JNF. “Tu BiShvat and the upcoming spring symbolize renewal, resilience, and growth. The planting of these trees represents not only the deep connection between humanity and nature but also the strength to rebuild and flourish after the events of October 7th. Just as these trees take root and thrive, we strive to deepen our bonds, strengthen our friendship, and build a future of hope and prosperity."

The trees—Wild Carob and Almond—were chosen for their spring blossoms, aligning with both Tu BiShvat and Vietnam’s Spring Festival, further reinforcing the shared values of both nations.
