The gathering brought together around 100 KKL-JNF Ambassadors who are all emissaries from Israel from ten countries across Latin America, representing a wide range of fields - community, campus and youth movement emissaries, as well as Shinshinim (young Israeli emissaries).
Over the four days of the conference, participants took part in professional workshops and lectures exploring Zionist identity, strengthening the connection between Israel and the Jewish Diaspora, and deepening the educational and communal engagement of the younger generation. They were also introduced to innovative educational tools and exchanged methods, challenges, and field-based solutions with one another.
Against the backdrop of the past two years of war in Israel, the conference emphasized the need for open dialogue and sharing personal experiences, alongside continued efforts to strengthen the professional capacities of educators and youth leaders across the continent.
Sar Shalom Gerbi, Manager of the Education and Community Division at KKL-JNF, who led the conference, said: “The conference is a testament to the resilience and unity of the Jewish people. The emissaries are the true ambassadors of Israel in the world, and this meeting is an opportunity to deepen the roots of love of the Land, mutual responsibility, and commitment to the next generation.”
Eli Cohen, Representative of the Jewish agency in south America: “Jewish communities in Latin America express a deep connection to Israel and its values. We are proud to see how KKL-JNF emissaries continue to work on the ground — to educate, lead, and strengthen the Jewish and Zionist identity of thousands of young people across the continent.”
