KKL-JNF Hosts Paraguayan President Santiago Peña Falcón for Tree Planting Ceremony in Jerusalem

Yesterday (Wednesday), Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) hosted the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña Falcón, for a tree planting ceremony of hope and friendship at the KKL-JNF Grove of Nations in Jerusalem. The president's visit was part of a high-level delegation from Paraguay, celebrating the opening of the country's embassy in Jerusalem.

President Peña was joined by senior KKL-JNF officials, led by Yitzhak Vaknin, KKL-JNF Co-Chairman, as he planted the tree, symbolizing the strengthening of ties between Israel and Paraguay. The visit underscores the warm relationship between the two nations and expresses Paraguay's solidarity with Israel during these challenging times. It also reflects the mutual desire to enhance cooperation across various fields.

In his remarks, President Santiago Peña Falcón said: "May this tree grow strong and live long, a living symbol of the shared history between our countries, the bonds of friendship we have forged, and our mutual commitment to the values we hold dear".

Yitzhak Vaknin, KKL-JNF Co-Chairman, stated: "It is a great honor to host the President of Paraguay in planting a tree on Israeli soil, marking his arrival for the opening of Paraguay’s embassy in Jerusalem.
