KKL-JNF and the Beit Shemesh Municipality Present: HaRishonim Park

The HaRishonim Park in Beit Shemesh was inaugurated in a special ceremony held in the city. The park, built by KKL-JNF in collaboration with the city's municipality, is located at the entrance to Midreshet Beit Shemesh, which hosts community activity and a musical room.
The park's establishment was made possible due to the donation of the late Jean-Claude Andre, a philosophy professor who was also a great friend to Israel.

Midreshet Beit Shemesh was established in 2000 as a heritage center for the city, a part of the formal and non-formal education in the city. It offers a wide variety of educational programs for the youth and the community.

The park includes two terraces of grass and trees, as well as a large activity yard for events in the lower part of the site. The park was built for the residents and will host group that arrive at Midreshet Beit Shemesh – students, soldiers, visiting groups and individual visitors.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch, KKL-JNF Vice Chairman Attorney Roei Abeksis Magen, KKL-JNF Chief Envoy to France Daniel Benlulu and the Chair of Midreshet Beit Shemesh Ilan Gal Dor.

Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch: "I'm very glad to be here. With KKL-JNF we have established a truly quality partnership that led to this amazing park, which will be used by our wonderful students and soldiers, who can enjoy a green site at the entrance to Midreshet Beit Shemesh along with the city's residents."

KKL-JNF Vice Chairman Attorney Roei Abeksis Magen: "Midreshet Beit Shemesh, which serves as the city's heritage center, takes an active part in the formal and non-formal education, in events and student's programs, for the youth and the community. KKL-JNF is proud to take a part in the development of the park which will host hundreds of visitors that can connect to the Israeli heritage."
