Due to the Extreme Heat: KKL-JNF Warns Against Starting Fires in Forests

A special order from the head of Israel's Fire and Rescue Authority, which forbids starting fires, will be active from July 13 to July 17 at midnight.
Due to the extreme heatwave expected in the coming days, KKL-JNF warns the public against starting fires. Rami Zaritski, head of fire protection in KKL-JNF: "Due to weather forecasts expecting an extreme heat wave starting tomorrow and continuing throughout the weekend and beyond, starting fire in forest areas is strictly forbidden. We call the public to show responsibility and caution to avoid fires that will risk lives, animals and natural groves."

Eyal Caspi, the head of Israel's Fire and Rescue Authority, has issued an order that forbids starting fires all throughout Israel, due to the weather conditions.

The order will be active from July 13 to July 17 at midnight. The order includes professional works that involve fire or open flames as welding, iron cutting, or any other work that creates sparks or involves burning plants and foliage.

We call the public to follow the order, practice caution and report any fire event by dialing 102.
