"One of Our Greatest": The KKL-JNF Archive Reveals Photographs of the Late Chaim Topol

In the memory of Israel Prize recipient, Academy Award Nominee and Golden Globe Winner Haim Topol, who passed away on March 9 at the age of 87, the KKL-JNF Photo Archive shares the family grief and reveals photographs of the late actor from a tree-planting event that took place at the Jordan River Village in 2016.
Topol was one of Israel's greatest actors, and his passing is a great loss to Israeli culture. Over the years, he played a variety of roles, including the title role in the Israeli classic film "Sallah Shabati" and Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof", a role which won him a Golden Globe Award and Oscar Nomination.

Efrat Sini, Manager of the KKL-JNF Photo Archive: "Today, the Israeli public and KKL-JNF mourns the death of one of our greatest actors - from his portrayal of Sallah Shabati to Tevye, along with many other roles. Topol supported KKL-JNF's project for kinds with disabilities. KKL-JNF thanks Topol for many years of activity and shares the grief of his family."
