For the First Time in History: A Woman Will be the Chairwoman of KKL-JNF

Today (December 6), the KKL-JNF Board of Directors has chosen Ms. Ifat Ovadia-Luski as the next Chairwoman of KKL-JNF, replacing Mr. Avraham Duvdevani, who is about to complete his tenure. Ovadia-Luski makes history by becoming the first woman chosen for the role.

Ifat Ovadia-Luski (46) holds a Master’s Degree with honors in Administration and Education Policy from Tel Aviv University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hebrew Literature and History from the Hebrew University. She heads the Department of Hebrew Language and Culture at the World Zionist Organization. In the past, she served as CEO of the World Likud for more than four years and was the first woman in this position. She also served in varied positions in the public sector.

Elected KKL-JNF Chairwoman, Ifat Ovadia-Luski: "The decision of the KKL-JNF Board of Directors to choose, for the first time, a woman as the chairwoman of the organization is of historical importance. As someone who has been active in national institutes for over two decades, I am proud to have been chosen to lead this extremely important Zionist organization, and am fully aware of the national responsibility that now rests on my shoulders."
