At the peak of the bird migration season, the BNP PARIBAS investment bank does its share to preserve and protect the birds in Israel. In a special ceremony held at the KKL-JNF Rosh Tzipor birdwatching center, several birdwatching spots were inaugurated, and in addition, dozens of new trees and bushes were planted in order to allow easy nesting for birds in the area.
The Rosh Tzipor forest is located in the area where the Yarkon and Ayalon streams meet, and it is mostly a home for eucalyptus and sissoo trees. The 125-acre area is part of Ganei Yehoshua. On the map, the area looks a little like a bird's head, which inspired its Hebrew name Rosh Tzipor. KKL-JNF started planting trees at the location in the 1950s, and it became an urban forest.
Michael Ben Abu, Director of Israel Fundraising Department at KKL-JNF: "I'm always excited to see donors coming to see the project and admire KKL-JNF's activities, promising to come again and bring their families."
