The exhibition opened in the presence of the President of KKL-JNF Hungry & Central Europe Kobi Davit, the Israeli Ambassador to Hungary Mr. Yacov Hadas-Handelsman, the Mayor of the 7th District Mr. Péter Niedermüller and the heads of the Jewish community.
The exhibition will take place in the heart of Budapest, within the Jewish district, hundreds of meters away from the Great Synagogue, in a well transited area exposed to dozens of thousands of people on a daily basis. The exhibition would showcase the history of KKL-JNF and its wide range of activities, with a special emphasis on its unique local context in Hungary including the historical activities of the organization prior to the establishment of the State of Israel. What is more, the exhibition also intends to reflect KKL-JNF’s sustainable and environmental contribution to the future.
Kobi Davit, President of KKL-JNF Hungry & Central Europe: the 120 Years of Vision and Action exhibition is meant to reveal and present the extraordinary story, rich background, values and deed of KKL-JNF in shaping, strengthening, and ensuring the future of the State of Israel. In addition, it is meant to be used to strengthen the special relationship between the two people and two states in creating and encouraging collaborations in different fields, with an emphasis on technology."
