WLC 2018: Israel is a Worldwide Partnership

Saying farewell to the ninth KKL-JNF World Leadership Conference, and hailing new beginnings.
Participants in the Ninth KKL-JNF World Leadership Conference enjoyed three fascinating days. They looked towards the future, deliberated regarding the vision of a renewed Zionism, debated on fundamental issues of identity and education, participated in many events and went on trips outside of Jerusalem.

Addressing conference participants at the concluding discussion, KKL-JNF World Chairman Danny Atar said: “Over the course of the conference, you were exposed to a world of content and purpose that is KKL-JNF. We experienced two and a half very meaningful days, which contributed a lot to us. The challenges you are facing influence how we think. It is important for us to hear what topics are important for you so that we can design our programs accordingly.”

Atar emphasized that Zionist education abroad is one of the central topics on the KKL-JNF agenda. Among the projects being promoted at the present time: a training program for people involved in Zionist education, developing educational resources and establishing the international educational center in Tzipori.

“It is important for us that KKL-JNF transcends the borders going beyond the Jewish people,” Atar emphasized. “The more we increase the size of the circle, the more we are part of global space. We will be glad to help in any way you think fit, including joint Jewish and non-Jewish delegations.”

After expressing heartfelt thanks to the representatives from Israel and from abroad, the time came to bid farewell. Everyone was on their way home, equipped with tools and ideas on how to continue working together to realize the common vision – a green, flourishing Israel. Atar took leave of the conference participants with warm words: “We don’t only see you as representatives, but also as full partners.”
