Mount Yavnit
Location: Birya Forest, Upper Galilee.
 
Description: A spectacular observation point, not far from Birya Fortress, overlooking the Hula Valley, the Golan Heights, the Naftali Mountains and Mount Hermon. The mountain is named after the ancient settlement Avnit, or Ibnit, which was located there (Khirbet Bnit). The tombs of the renowned Talmudic sages Abbaye, Rava and Rabbi Yehuda Nesia are located at the observation point (Waze: Har Yavnit).
