Location: Mount Tabor summit.
Description: A path circling the summit of Mount Tabor that passes through a KKL-JNF forest and natural woodland. The path affords spectacular views of the hills of the Lower Galilee, the Jezreel Valley, Mount Gilboa and Mount Hermon and even the Gilead Mountains in Jordan. The remains of the Crusader fortress can be seen and you can visit the Church of the Transfiguration, the site where according to Christian tradition Jesus was transfigured in the presence of the three apostles who were with him.
Directions: From the Afula–Golani Intersection Road (Route 65), enter Dabburiya village and continue to the paved road that ascends to the mountain’s summit.
