Carl Lutz Scenic Lookout (Mitzpor Carl Lutz)
Location: Switzerland Forest.

Description: Carl Lutz scenic lookout is in the northern part of Switzerland Forest, above the three-level scenic lookout. KKL-JNF has built an observation plaza roofed with a pergola facing the view of the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights. The scenic lookout is mainly intended to serve hikers on the Israel Trail and the cyclists using the Sea of Galilee Bike Circuit, as the adjacent three-wing scenic outlook is relatively distant from the path. Next to the scenic lookout, KKL-JNF has constructed a camping site with scoria gravel surfaces, comfortable for spreading sleeping bags for a pleasant overnight stay. The scenic lookout commemorates Carl Lutz (1895–1975), one of the Righteous Among the Nations, who utilized his Swiss diplomatic status to help rescue tens of thousands of Jews during the Holocaust.

Directions: A. Park at the three-level scenic lookout, in the northern part of the Switzerland Forest scenic road and walk about 300 meters up the dirt road to the Carl Lutz observation point (a barrier prevents cars from entering). B. By the dirt road that heads south from the traffic circle in Sapir Boulevard (Tveriya Illit, next to the entrance to the Sea of Galilee Bike Circuit). Drive 1.2 km to reach the scenic lookout.
