Description: An impressive monument on top of Mount Aminadav, in commemoration of John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, murdered on November 22, 1963. The monument, designed by David Resnik and Dov Feigin, is shaped like a felled tree stump with 51 columns, representing the states. Walk around the monument to enjoy a circular view of the Jerusalem Mountains and the Hebron Mountains. A window in the scenery affords a view of the coastal plain in the region of Ashdod.
Directions: From Jerusalem, drive towards Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital (Route 386). At Ora Junction, instead of descending to the hospital, turn left towards Ora and Aminadav (route 3877). Bypass Ora and after the entrance to Aminadav continue for another 500 meters to the large Yad Kennedy memorial.
