The Carmel Beach area is an important resting spot for the charadriiform birds, especially during the autumn and winter seasons. At the Nahsholim area, travelers can sometimes even catch a glimpse of flamingos. A birdwatching site is being built at the fishing framings of Kibbutz Nahsholim. The site will include trees, birdwatching and photography spots, and guiding signs.
