This 2.5 kilometers-long path at Hof HaCarmel Forest, between the Junction Car Park and the Tfahot Car Park, commemorates the legacy of the "Escape Movement" – a Zionist initiative to bring holocaust survivors from Europe to Israel in the final stages of World War II.
The path was created by KKL-JNF with no infrastructure, in order to simulate the difficult paths of European Forests. The five sitting spots along the path contain rock seats and stone plaque telling the story of the escape and people who took a part in it. Authentic photographs accompany the texts. All sitting spots overlook the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlit Beach, where the Jewish survivors arrived.
