The Bar-On Reservoir is located at the Golan Heights, east of the Marom Golan Reservoir, and it has water collection capacity of 1.9 million square meters. The reservoir's sealing is done by placing red soil at the bottom of the reservoir, digging at the side and sealing it using high-density polyethylene stretches.
The reservoir's role is to capture and contain water in the eastern lake of the Golan Heights and develop new water sources for the area's residents. The water will be used for plating trees at Kibbutz Bar-On, Kibbutz Marom Golan and Kibbutz Elrom.
