As part of the discussion, the central plans were presented, including the upgrading and conservation of the Park HaShikmim Boulevard within the MBP of the Hi-Tech Park, as part of the ecological planning of the region, erecting a station for researching the Lakhish River and a birdwatching station in the estuary in an ecological building and green construction, development of the Lakhish River Park which will connect the Ad Halom Interchange with the Herzl Bridge, including extensive tree planting and upgrading of the public space, as well as setting up hiking and biking trails within the Municipal Nature Ring that connect the city to nature while maintaining the biological diversity.
In addition, they discussed bringing the forest into the city via a unique project to establish outdoor playsets from natural wood within the municipal space, alongside assistance in the financing and maintenance of an ecological park, which includes educational activities for raising public awareness regarding the conservation of nature.
In addition, it was agreed to have an additional meeting, which would include a tour of Ashdod for senior management at KKL-JNF for the purpose of deepening the partnership and intensifying the investment in the municipal projects.

The Mayor, Dr. Yehiel Lasri, emphasized the importance of cooperation with KKL-JNF, stating: "the conservation and development of the environment are an important pillar in our municipal vision, to continue to upgrade Ashdod to a green and sustainable city. This investment will upgrade the public space as well as deepen the connection between the residents and their natural surroundings."

The City of Ashdod continues to lead groundbreaking initiatives in developing the natural spaces, while maintaining a balance between the needs of the residents and conserving natural and environmental values.
