As part of its ongoing commitment to rehabilitating Israel’s northern forests, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) held a tree-planting ceremony in Biriya Forest, marking a significant step in the 'KKL-JNF for Tomorrow' initiative.

After the Second World War, KKL-JNF was flooded with inquiries from Jews from around the world, seeking to memorialize their loved ones who perished in the Holocaust. Thus, the "Forest of the Martyrs" was born – a unique forest that constitutes a living monument commemorating the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust.

Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) Chairwoman Ifat Ovadia-Luski hosted the Argentine Ambassador to Israel, Rabbi Shimon Axel Wahanish, for a tree-planting ceremony symbolizing hope and friendship at Kennedy Park in Jerusalem.

After being evacuated due to the events of October 7th, the residents of Kibbutz Kfar Aza have started to return to the Gaza Envelope and are temporarily residing in Kibbutz Ruhama, located in the Sha’ar HaNegev region.
