KKL-JNF is with the Envelope – Relocation of the Residential Buildings of Kfar Aza to Kibbutz Ruhama with an Investment of NIS 300 Million

On Tuesday May 5, 2024, an agreement was signed in the offices of KKL-JNF to conduct works for the temporary relocation of evacuees from Kibbutz Kfar Azar to Kibbutz Ruhama. The project is in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and Housing, the Ministry of Finance and the "Tkuma" Directorate.

Signing of the agreement was done after the Management of Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael – Jewish National Fund approved a historical decision on April 20, 2024, for participation of KKL-JNF in the restoration of the Western Negev via the "Tkuma" Directorate.

KKL-JNF will work to perform the development and construction works necessary for housing evacuees from Kibbutz Kfar Azar with the ones being conducted within Kibbutz Ruhama and in coordination with the Ministry of Construction and Housing, within the framework of the "Tkuma" Directorate.

The project is part of a cooperative venture between professional entities within KKL-JNF and the Budgets Department and Comptroller General, as part of the realization of the agreement between KKL-JNF and the state of Israel and is one among many projects that KKL-JNF has been carrying out since October 7, for the benefit of the residents of the Envelope and the North, such as an emergency basket for localities, activities in hotels for the evacuees and budget support for the alert squads.

KKL-JNF Chairwoman Ifat Ovadia Luski: "Since the start of the war, KKL-JNF has aided the State of Israel and particularly the residents of the South and North. The relocation of Kfar Aza is a Zionist task that we are proud to take upon ourselves. We will continue to be here for the country in rebuilding and revival the damaged regions of the country."
