Dardara Recreation Area

A lovely spot shaded by a eucalyptus grove, in the heart of the Hula Valley. The recreation area has picnic tables, some of which are wheelchair-accessible. The water of a small brook splashes among the tables. A short path turns east and reaches the memorial site for Kibbutz Ashmora, which was founded here on the banks of Hula Lake in 1946, but was abandoned after the War of Independence.

Directions: From Kibbutz Gadot, drive north on the eastern road of the Hula Valley (Route 918). Cross the Jordan River at the Pekak Bridge and continue north for another 2 km. A road of crushed rock about 400 m long then turns eastward and reaches the recreation area.
