  • KKL-JNF Hosts Tree Planting Ceremony with Hundreds of U.S. Congress Members in the Gaza Envelope

    Today (Tuesday), Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael–Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), together with Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted a landmark tree-planting ceremony at Ofakim Park in the Gaza envelope region as part of the “50 States – One Israel” initiative. Approximately 250 members of Congress from all 50 U.S. states participated in the event, alongside Israel’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sharren Haskel, Ofakim Mayor Itzik Danino, KKL-JNF World Chairwoman Ifat Ovadia-Luski, and KKL-JNF CFO and Acting CDO Yuval Yenni.

    Against the backdrop of the second year following the tragedy of October 7th, and as the world commemorated the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), Jewish National Fund-USA (JNF-USA), and the Embassy of the United States of America in Israel came together for their annual memorial ceremony at the Arazim Valley Memorial in Jerusalem to honor the victims of those tragic events.
