Givat HaMoreh Forest

Givat HaMoreh is a short, isolated mountainous ridge that rises above the Jezreel and Harod Valleys. KKL-JNF cultivated a large forest on Givat HaMoreh that covers about 10,000 dunams. In the spring, the Nazareth iris blooms here as well as many other kinds of colorful flowers. KKL-JNF prepared two recreation areas in the forest.

Givat HaMoreh-Dahi Recreation Area – a large recreation area at the foot of the village of Dahi, off the scenic roads of Givat HaMoreh. The site has many picnic tables shaded by pine trees, and a children's playground. Some of the tables are made of natural rock. Views of the Jezreel Valley can be seen peeking through the trees.

Directions: Go up Jabotinsky Street in Afula Illit (the main street), whose name then changes to Connecticut Street. A dirt road exits from this street to the right, about 300 m up the road after the intersection with HaChasida Street.
KKL-JNF Observation Tower – There are picnic tables built entirely of natural stone along the road leading to the observation tower.
