    Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael–Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) dedicated the Iron Swords Forest, established in memory of all soldiers and civilians who fell or were murdered since October 7 and throughout the war. The new forest, covering 367 dunams (approximately 90 acres) at Khirbet Mador near Be’eri Forest, will serve as a place of remembrance and renewal for thousands of bereaved families.

  • KKL-JNF Hosts Tree Planting Ceremony with Hundreds of U.S. Congress Members in the Gaza Envelope

    Today (Tuesday), Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael–Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), together with Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted a landmark tree-planting ceremony at Ofakim Park in the Gaza envelope region as part of the “50 States – One Israel” initiative. Approximately 250 members of Congress from all 50 U.S. states participated in the event, alongside Israel’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sharren Haskel, Ofakim Mayor Itzik Danino, KKL-JNF World Chairwoman Ifat Ovadia-Luski, and KKL-JNF CFO and Acting CDO Yuval Yenni.

    Until recently, forests were widely exploited for new construction or treated as garbage dumps. KKL-JNF now works together with communities to turn neglected areas into green local jewels, encouraging country-wide forest care as part of its efforts to conserve ecological and environmental assets.
