22nd Walk for Water focuses on the Negev and the Arava
The KKL France Walk for Water is a signficant annual event. Every year, large delegation of friends of KKL France embark on the Walk-for-Water walkathon, a week-long trek in Israel, to raise awareness and funds for KKL-JNF projects for water. Each year focuses on another aspect of the unique Israeli landscape. KKL France embarked on their first Walk for Water in 1998, and the group has only grown, with new and veteran participants, young and old, joining the walkathon each year. The trek also focuses on water and community development projects supported by KKL France, giving participants the opportunity to see for themselves the impact of their support for Israel on the country. The year 2019 is Walk for Water's 22nd year. Some 80 intrepid hikers from France, Switzerland and Belgium came to Israel to embark on KKL France’s 22nd Walk for Water. The walks focused on the Arava and Negev regions, which are now blooming due to the recent rains.
