In December 2007, KKL-JNF sent a delegation to the Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, which was the 13th gathering of the more than 180 nations that have signed the UN's Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and those developed countries who signed the Kyoto Protocol in 1997.

In addition to participating in the official discussions at the Conference, regarding the amount of reductions in greenhouse gas emissions each country must make, KKL-JNF delegates took part in a wide range of seminars and side events arranged by academic institutions, international organizations and regional NGO's.

During Forest Day, organized by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), KKL-JNF representatives displayed special posters depicting our work and held several meetings to examine the possibility of carrying out afforestation projects in developing countries.
