KKL-JNF and the Hof Hacarmel Regional Council will build a center for young leadership in the heart of Hof Hacarmel Forest. The center is to be built in the future at a unique site from which there is a magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea. Participating at the signing ceremony that took place on November 12, 2020 were KKL-JNF World Chairman Daniel Atar, Hof Hacarmel Regional Head Asif Izak, KKL-JNF Northern Region Director Dr. Omri Boneh, KKL-JNF Land Development Authority Director Yaron Ohion and additional representatives from KKL-JNF and the regional council.
In his remarks at the ceremony, KKL-JNF World Chairman Daniel Atar said that " cooperation between KKL-JNF and the regional council should not be taken for granted. This center will realize dreams, and I am certain that we will see positive outcomes in a few years. KKL-JNF has always seen Israel's future in our country's young people. This center is being established in a place with a magnificent view, and I have no doubt that this will help it to achieve the maximum."
Hof Hacarmel Regional Head Asif Izak added that "we are building a center here that will change the lives of many young people. It may be that thanks to this center, there will be young people who will join the army and want to become officers. The center will support students, artists and other creative people. There will be work spaces for young entrepreneurship, and who knows, maybe the next Waze will be developed here. We are building an infrastructure with the goal of helping people to succeed, and as a public official, I am very proud of this."
KKL-JNF Northern Region Director Dr. Omri Boneh noted the huge importance of building the center in the heart of the Hof Hacarmel Forest, which is considered a special area that boasts hiking trails, wildflower blossoming routes, bicycle singles, recreation sites and observation points.
