The Jewish National Fund’s Education and Community Division has set out to help relieve the tension for children and adults in southern Israel who are confined to bomb shelters and protected spaces during Operation "Guardian of the Walls". The Division began its activities at the start of the military campaign and will continue them until normal routine is reinstated. KKL-JNF instructors organize shows, quizzes and enjoyable educational activities for the children to relieve the tension and help them pass the time more easily and pleasantly. Teams will continue to make their way from one shelter and protected space to another throughout southern Israel and the Gaza Periphery until calm is restored.

KKL-JNF Education and Community Director Sar-Shalom Jerbi: “For us it is both a privilege and an obligation, on the eve of the Shavuot holiday, to make a concerted and heartfelt effort to do everything possible to support and gladden children in southern Israel and the Gaza Periphery, as they contend with the harsh reality that has been imposed upon them. KKL-JNF Education and Community Division’s instructors are fully determined to held the children pass the time in their protected spaces as comfortably and happily as possible.”
